Pain and Injury

Pain & Injury Rehabilitation
Pain and injury can limit how you work, train, and live. Whether symptoms are recent or have been present for years, our goal is not just short term relief. It is long term resilience.
At Brown Chiropractic & Rehab in Thunder Bay, rehabilitation is structured, progressive, and grounded in exercise science.
What We Treat
We work with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including:
• Back and neck pain
• Shoulder, hip, and knee injuries
• Tendinopathy such as Achilles or patellar tendon pain
• Post surgical rehabilitation
• Sport and work related injuries
• Persistent or recurring pain
Care is individualized based on your presentation, training history, and goals.

Our Approach to Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation begins with a thorough assessment and clear clinical reasoning.
We evaluate movement, strength, and contributing factors to establish a focused plan. You will understand what we are addressing and why.
Pain is not simply something to fix. It is something to understand and progressively rebuild.
Exercise is central to recovery. Using principles from strength and conditioning, rehabilitation is designed to:
• Improve tissue tolerance
• Restore confidence in movement
• Build strength and endurance
• Prepare you for return to sport, work, or daily activity
The focus is always on restoring capacity, not creating dependency.
What to Expect
Initial visits are comprehensive and typically 60 minutes in length.
During your assessment, we will:
• Establish a diagnosis or clinical impression
• Discuss contributing factors
• Set meaningful goals
• Develop a structured plan
Follow up sessions focus on guided exercise progression, symptom monitoring, and refining your program.
Care is collaborative. You will understand what we are doing and why.

From Rehab to Performance
Recovery is not the endpoint.
Many patients transition from rehabilitation into structured strength and conditioning or fitness testing once symptoms are under control.
Whether your goal is returning to sport, preparing for tactical testing, or staying active long term, rehabilitation is designed to bridge you toward higher levels of performance and resilience.
